I have undertaken and am qualified in advanced facial reflexology and was taught at the London School of Reflexology by the award winning Ziggie Bergman Read Ziggie's history
The face provides a beautiful and precise tool to read what is going on within the body’s internal organs, central nervous system and neuro-biological system. This treatment incorporates special therapeutic techniques and massage movements covering around 28 points of the face. This method of facial reflexology uses Dr Fitzgerald’s early zone work with Native American techniques and Asian body maps that chart the reflex points on the face. Because the face is close to the brain, manipulating facial reflex points directly connect to the body’s neuro-pathways. Facial reflexology can identify reflexes out of balance and help improve health and well-being.
The effects of Facial reflexology are cumulative and often the full effects can only be seen after 4-6 sessions
Benefits
Facial reflexology aims to:
*Induce deep relaxation and bring about a general feeling of calmness. Many clients have stated that facial Reflexology takes them into an even deeper zone of relaxation than foot reflexology.
*Improve circulation to the face and head area, thereby speeding up the exchange of oxygen, nutrients, carbon dioxide and waste products
*Improve Lymphatic drainage aiding the removal of waste products and toxins
*Relieve tension in the muscle tissue of the face
*Relieve mental strain and improve concentration, leaving the face glowing and radiant
*Help relieve sinusitis/congestion and headaches
*Rejuvenate and nourish the skin on the face, treating common skin concerns and has been seen to lessen the effects of acne and psoriasis
Rejuvenating facial transformation
As an added benefit to this treatment session, your face will look smoother and more toned as the increase of circulation will help to release muscle tension. The finger movements over the face stimulate circulation in surrounding structures helping to strengthen layers of skin tissue and improve skin tone, giving a healthy radiant glow. Additionally, over a series of sessions there may be a reduction in lines and wrinkles, helping you to feel good and look good. Facial Reflexology has been used extensively in spas around the UK and has been recommended by Bella Blissett in the Mail on Sunday as a beautiful secret that leaves you ‘blissed out’ with a smoother face.
I use an exquisite unique facial elixir during the treatment which was developed by Ziggie Bergman which combines many properties of sacred plants as inspired by the Native American shaman and healers in New Mexico. In every bottle there is an amethyst crystal which is known for its meditative qualities which work on the emotional, spiritual and physical planes to promote calm, balance and peace. This elixir hydrates and tightens your skin and has been shown to significantly reduce fine lines and help you look radiant. This beautifully scented oil is the winner of the 2018 Beauty shortlist awards for the best facial oil and also the winner of the 2018 Jayney Loves Platinum award for the best face oil/serumRead about the elixir and its ingredients
